Is air matter?

I think air is a matter cause matter mean anything that has mass and takes up space.

Air is the one of the states of matter - gases. A gas dose not have a definite shape. 

In the way it is like a liquid but on the other hand it is unlike,a gas dose not take up 

a definite amount of space. Because the particles of matter move about freely. Each 

particle of space is big but if you pressurize it and the volume will change it.
